Sherman was on a panel at the Aspen Ideas Festival discussing modern political technology when she segued into the bizarre comment. “President Obama’s major mode of communication was the traditional one,” she said. “Big speeches, some of which were powerful and brilliant.” “And I hesitate to say, but I think it’s critical, looking out at our audience, looking out at most of us — that there is no doubt that we just had eight years of an African American president is not a factor in all that we are experiencing today,” Sherman commented. “When we make social change, when we make a decision to do something we have never done before, we then take two steps backward, at least. hmnut7 2 weeks ago#9 There were a lot of reasons Hillary lost. Obama being the first black president might have played a small role, but Hillary being horrible played a much bigger role. In a country were the majority of people believe "the President has to be a white male" if you are NOT that you have to be damn near close to perfect on paper to even have a shot. That means: Charismatic No major scandals  Not an establishment hack A white man can have these flaws, but not a woman. Every woman who is trying to be the first woman anything knows, she can't just be 'as good as' the men, she has to be ten times better.  HILLARY WAS NOT!!! If any other Republican ran against Hillary she would have lost the popular vote. If any other Democrat ran against Trump they would have won the Electoral College.
