Democrats surely want to win if they are putting Corey "I take donations from everybody" Booker. Worked so well for Hillary. /facepalm (Side note, I actually voted for her and am not an ideological purist.)

i hope they don't go with booker. he'd probably lose. dems need someone that will win. maybe in 2020 i'd actually vote dem instead of liber(which i do identify as, but realize they won't ever have any power). if trump wins 2020 it will be because the dems didn't learn from hilary and still pick someone that can't win.
i voted obama both times because i didn't hate him. hilary was so bad i was like f*** it, actually voting liber.

I'd really like to see Al Franken in 2020, but it doesn't seem like something he'd want to do.

Seems like a lot of establishment types are pushing Sen. Kamala Harris of California lately. Which makes me quite suspicious of her now. She has a lot of the same flaws as Obama in terms of letting the banking industry and major corporations do whatever they want. I like Harris as a congressman so far but they've been grooming her for a few years and I want to see her actually work in DC for more than a term or two before she runs. Let us know where she really stands and let us see how her decisions have played out on a national stage before trying to thrust her into the White House. Still preferable to Booker if you ask me. I really don't think the DNC understands that aspect of Sanders' support. It's not just people enjoying his ideas - people have enjoyed his consistency and longevity, it makes him much more trustworthy.

But not if it sucks. |

That's really hitting the nail on the head. All too often, we vote for Democrats on the promise of a more progressive agenda, only to get served more lukewarm centrism. Personally, I think the establishment-types are afraid of Bernie Sanders precisely because they think he might actually deliver on his rhetoric. At the end of the day, they don't think anything is seriously wrong with the status quo. |

Man, who even cares? rump is getting 2 terms because as long as SJWs exist and Wikileaks keeps hammering the DNC's various scandals as soon as things look bad for Trump and the idiots who believe that surely after seeing 4 years of f*** ups and bad policies would make the public vote against Trump, stay home there is no path of victory for the Dems against Trump short of the man dying in office and even then, Pence is up next and he'd be even harder to beat for a Dem because then people can blame all the bad s*** on Trump instead of him, it'd be like a trade up.
I got nothing

Booker could beat the current President. He has his share of issues but unlike Hillary he is at least likeable.
Really, the democrats just have to not nominate literally the worst possible candidate like they did last time and they'll win with no problem (assuming Trump seeks re-election, that is).

Yeah, I mean, I think most possible nominees could beat Trump. Maybe not Cuomo or Zuckerburg, but I don't think they'd win the nomination anyways. Don't get investigated by the FBI during the general election campaign.
I hold out hope that the Biden/Booker/Cuomo runs will split votes while the left can again rally around one candidate (Sherrod Brown, Keith Ellison, William Barber maybe?)

I'd like Brown best out of that list. Ellison is only a rep, and tbh he has some questionable stuff in his past that can be weaponized fairly effectively I don't know jack about Barber. Personally I'd like Franken or Richard Cordray but Iunno
